About the episode
Famed composer Arturo Márquez has created here a lively dance for string quartet in one movement. With its pizzicato opening and cross rhythms, it maintains a light, and even fun, atmosphere throughout. LA Phil Violist Dana introduces the piece describing how the image of a couple dancing the tango inspires the musicians to convey the sensual essence of the rhythmically intricate work.
